Technology is the usage and knowledge of tools, techniques, crafts, systems or methods of organization. The term can either be applied generally or to specific areas: examples include construction technology, medical technology, or state-of-the-art technology or high technology. Technologies can also be exemplified in a material product, for example an object can be termed state of the art. Technologies significantly affect human as well as other animal species' ability to control and adapt to their natural environments. The human species' use of technology began with the conversion of natural resources into simple tools. The prehistorically discovery of the ability to control fire increased the available sources of food and the invention of the wheel helped humans in travelling in and controlling their environment. Recent technological developments, including the printing press, the telephone, and the Internet, have lessened physical barriers to communication and allowed humans to interact freely on a global scale. However, not all technology has been used for peaceful purposes; the development of weapons of ever-increasing destructive power has progressed throughout history, from clubs to nuclear weapons.
Many people see technology as a solution to some of the problems that exist on our planet. It’s true that technology can be used for good, but with new developments come new challenges issues. The digital divide is one such issue, one that people are actively trying to overcome. Telecentres aim to bridge the digital divide by providing people access and knowledge about information technologies. A global telecentre movement is growing right now. Unfortunately, even where computer facilities are readily available, the digital divide persists—even in the world's most wealthy countries, access to the latest and most beneficial technologies is limited for those in rural areas and people with disabilities.
The technology industry provides the basis for chip production, information and communication systems, computer systems, ping systems and electrical lining systems. These companies serve as the developers and manufacturers of the products which drive the increasing efficiency and production of cell phones, computers, televisions, as well as other communication and information systems. It is a large industry with a vast growth potential, but it is also subject to sometimes volatile cycles, such as in the semiconductor industry. As chips continue to get smaller and globalization increases, demand for faster, more efficient technology in new and old places, will help drive the tech industry.
Now a day, we are using high technology devices, like computer and different kinds of machines that can be useful in our daily lives. In terms of computer, it is very useful especially for information technology in the acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination of vocal, pictorial, textual and numerical information by a microelectronics-based combination of computing and telecommunications.
We use the term information technology or IT to refer to an entire industry. In actuality, information technology is the use of computers and software to manage information. The information technology department of a large company would be responsible for storing information, protecting information, processing the information, transmitting the information as necessary, and later retrieving information as necessary.
It is related in piping system. Many are using pipes in some places. One example of this one is the water pipes, so that the water can flow well in inside of it. Water pipes are made of polyvinyl chloride ,ductile iron, polyethylene, or copper, that carry pressurized and treated fresh water to buildings (as part of a municipal water system), as well as inside the building. In some gasoline stations, they also use pipes for the flowing of gasoline.
In terms of electricity, they uses technology to produce electricity. They also use pipes for the security of wires. Roads are needed in each and everyone. Especially in transportation, travelling, exporting and importing. To construct roads and highways, you must need more information about this one. Information for what technology or machines will be used. Printing press also uses technology like the machine they use. It is also uses Information Technology so that you can know the information. For the telephone and airplane, telephone is a device that is use for communicating other people in far places. In an airplane, it uses also a device so that they can communicate within the vicinity of the airport.
Therefore, all of these are not a dead-end job but a continuous learning and innovating of a lot of things. A start and a continuous learning in terms of technology.
